HOW IT WORKS

The Double Executive Masters in Health Policy leverages the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy’s expertise in health economics and public policy and the London School of Economics’ focus on global health and policy to support end-to-end thinking around solutions to challenges facing the health sector.

Participants spend two weeks in London in the fall and two weeks in Chicago in the spring each year of the two-year program, working through an intensive curriculum that covers foundations in global health policy and healthcare economics, with a special focus on health system performance analysis, leadership in healthcare, and negotiation and advocacy in healthcare.

The first year of the program culminates in a summer capstone course, and the second year concludes with a written dissertation.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, and a Master of Science in Health Economics and Policy from the London School of Economics.
